LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor:
Michael Murphy’s Tim Lincecum cover feature in the May issue was tremendous. I enjoyed it so much I read it twice. My son loved it, too. Your paper is in the habit of printing fun and interesting sports stories and I thank you for another one.

Dear Editor:
I loved Michael Murphy’s cover story on Tim Lincecum! He’s my favorite Giant and he is such the cutie. Thanks for putting together an interesting story and for the great photos. I am going to start reading your paper more often.
Heather Reilly
Dear Editor:
I enjoyed Michael Murphy’s outstanding Tim Lincecum story, but really wanted to say how much I like to read his “Sports in the City” each month in your other newspaper, The Marina Times. He picks out an eclectic variety of subjects and gives them a nice twist. And, you never fail to mention the next event for the Golden Gate Sport and Social Club, which I am a member of and also enjoy greatly. When The Marina Times comes out, your column gives me one of my best breakfasts of the month. Thanks.
Chris Despree
Dear Editor:
A big BOO-YA to you for the funny and oh-so-true “Editor’s Note” about “rogue bicyclists.” I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I know those of us who drive cars are nowhere near perfect either, but it’s about time someone called out the smug, save-the-planet-while-two-wheeling-like-a-maniac crowd.

Dear Editor:
Thanks for a really fun “Jasmine Blue’s Tails of the Dog Park” about her DNA test. The picture that
accompanied it was hysterical! I
guess I’d be shocked too if I discovered
I had some Glen of Imaal terrier
in me!
Beth Rapini
Dear Jasmine:
I don’t mind at all about that bit of Glen of Imaal terrier in you. If we weren’t fixed, I bet we’d make beautiful lab-pit bull-Rotweiller-German shepherd-bull mastiff-Glen of Imaal terrier puppies together. Since we are, how about a stroll at Crissy Field sometime?
Max
Dear Editor:
I just wanted to take the time to let you know that I think you have the best food and wine section in the City. GraceAnn Walden was the only reason I opened the Chronicle food section for years, so I was thrilled to find her in Northside, especially now that she has brought back her “Chef’s Night Out” column (I loved that more than the “Scoop” in the Chron). I love reading about chefs, so “10 Questions” is another favorite. “Tablehopper” is a fun read, and I enjoy the Kitchenless Cook’s recipes, too. The reviews are dead-on – I almost always agree with them. I was especially happy to see last month’s piece on Da Flora. I like the fact you don’t just review the trendiest new places, but also remind us of old favorites. I think Fred McMillin is a class act (and a fun read), and I’ve gone to quite a few wine events in Jeannine Sano’s unpronounceable column. (I still remember her funny piece on choosing between a bottle of Screaming Eagle and her car.) Bravo to all of you, and keep it up. Your writing puts the Chronicle to shame!

Dear Editor:
Kudos to the Northside staff for a damn fine magazine. It’s one of the best things about the first of the month. Anyone who thinks the Internet is going to replace print should see me on a lazy Saturday on my deck reading Northside over an espresso and a muffin. (Though I am glad to see that your Web site is up to date!)
