Lido de Paris star Sabine Hettlich set to conquer Teatro ZinZanni
By Bruce Bellingham

German leading lady Sabine Hettlich, who captured hearts and other vital organs at the Lido in Paris, opens at the Teatro ZinZanni in the splashy, sexy show License to Kiss, on Jan. 15.

The popular “chef” Kevin Kent, who appeared in the original show, will return to provide his own brand of fun and craziness.

Sabine is well known to European audiences. At the age of 19, she appeared in the German production of Cats. She won best singer at the prestigious Deutsche Rock Prize, and has sung with big bands and symphony orchestras all over the continent. About her performances at the Lido de
Paris, Elle magazine gushed, “Sabine Hettlich has set Paris alight with her verve.” So Paris is burning after all. Perhaps San Francisco might be ablaze all over again, too. Let’s see.

License to Kiss:  Teatro ZinZanni, Pier 29 (at the Embarcadero); opens Thursday, Jan. 15 with performances Wednesday–Saturday 6:30 p.m. & Sunday 5:30 p.m.; tickets $116–$190, 415-438-2668, www.zinzanni.org
